Tax-Aware Savings

Our financial advisors review your savings to help make sure more isn’t going towards taxes than necessary. This includes ensuring you are taking advantage of different investment accounts, realizing gains and losses when appropriate, and utilizing tax professionals when necessary to put it all together. Our advisors can anticipate your tax needs and plan optimized tax strategies.

529 Savings

529 Savings accounts include college savings and ABLE accounts. Our client families are planning for some of their children to go to college and some to be in support services throughout their adulthood. Both savings accounts have specific benefits based on what state you live in and can create financial flexibility for both you and the beneficiary of the 529 account. Both accounts can protect government benefits when used correctly.

Donor Advised Funds

Our advisors are interested in making sure all of your charitable goals are met within your plan. Whether you give by cash, check, or stock donations, our advisors can support you in making decisions that have the greatest impact on the causes you care about. Donor Advised Funds can be used by many clients to make their charitable contributions go further.

Our investment management services start at a 1% fee of assets under management and will not exceed 1% for our support. Planning fees are in addition to investment management service fees if minimums are not met. For example:
If a family asks Dependent Financial Planning to manage their Roth IRAs and wants to also engage in the financial planning process, there may be an investment management fee and an additional planning fee billed separately. If the Roth accounts total $31,000, the investment management fee $310 annually would be deducted directly from the accounts. If the Firm's minimum financial planning fee of $3,000 fits within the family's financial life budget, the family would be asked to pay the balance of $2,690 through invoicing ($3,000 minimum annual financial planning fee minus the $310 annual investment management fee).

At Dependent Financial Planning, our investment management services are designed to align with your specific financial goals, taking into account the long-term care and well-being of your special needs dependent child. Our dedicated team of professionals is passionate about helping families like yours navigate the complexities of investing and achieve financial stability.
